Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with a medium sized family run joinery business based in Basingstoke. The company specialise in high-end residential and leisure projects around the South of England. Due to on-going high demand we are assisting them in recruiting for a joinery CAD Technician with previous experience producing accurate and detailed joinery drawings for construction. You will regularly be interacting with advisors, design professionals and internal project teams as well as clients to ascertain briefs and develop design concepts and finally, obtain stage sign off.

You will be joining a well-established joinery team and play a key role in developing the drawing capabilities within the joinery division. A part of your role will see you conducting site surveys to ensure drawings are created with consideration for site limitations. You will regularly be working off architectural drawings and convert them into manufacturing drawings for approval. As the projects are high-end you will also have to incorporate AV, control systems and IT within the designs.

For this role, you will have practical joinery manufacturing knowledge and a strong understanding of multiple joinery products,

  • Door sets
  • Mouldings
  • Cabinetry

Due to the type of projects, a strong understanding of furniture and cabinetry construction and materials and a strong attention to technical detail is essential.

You will be using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor but previous experience with SolidWorks would also be accepted. You will also have good skills using Microsoft Office and have strong English writing skills.

Working Hours

07:30 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday

07:30 – 16:00 Friday
