Job description
CADagency is delighted to be working with a small, family run joinery business based in Abbots Langley. The company specialise in high-end residential projects mainly in London. Most of the work is bespoke kitchens and cabinetry. The team is made up of 5 other shop floor staff and office staff. They have on-site manufacturing and CNC capabilities and you will be in regular contact with the shop floor.
Currently the company is using outsourced CAD capabilities but looking to bring the design work in house. You will need to have at least three years experience as a joinery designer as you will be working independently. You will work closely with the sales teams to provide pricing and timescales for projects too. Your role will see you regularly interacting with clients, manufacturing teams, project managers and installers.
You will work to ascertain briefs and develop bespoke design concepts. Once a project is approved you will create accurate technical drawings for manufacturing purposes.
For this role, you will have practical joinery manufacturing knowledge and a strong understanding of multiple joinery products,

Due to the type of projects, a strong understanding of furniture and cabinetry construction and materials and a strong attention to technical detail is essential.
