Job description
CADagency is delighted to be working with a Home Automation and Audio Visual design and installation company based in Soho. Our client has built an outstanding reputation for the design, supply, installation and support technology control solutions into the 5/6* hospitality and high end-residential sectors.
Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting a CAD Designer. The primary function for this role is to assist the Sales Team in developing coherent design documentation and client-facing sales presentation materials.
You will be creating detailed designs for IT Networking (Routers / Switches / Wi-Fi / Remote Access) as well as Audio Visual Systems, Security Services and Lighting & Shading Control Systems.
You will be required to attend sales meetings and design co-ordination meetings to capture and translate client and site requirements and create highly effective sales and system design documentation. You will also be involved in completing tender responses and communication during competitive pricing exercises.
The role will see you progressing opportunities from early prospects (concept design) through to finalised design (contract/construction ready).
A key function of the role will be developing positive relationships with the design and/or contract team on each
project and communicating effectively via email and telephone in a personable and approachable manor.
In return, you will be open to career progression with the opportunity to develop client facing interpersonal and sales
skills, mini-project management and overseeing CAD resources and documentation output across a wide range of
projects throughout the UK.
You will ideally have some previous experience working with audio and surround systems as well as home automation and controls systems (e.g. Crestron, Control4, Savant). Any other networking and audio/video distribution over IP systems would be beneficial.
