Job description
CADagency is delighted to be working with a Geotechnical Engineering consultancy with offices around the UK. They provide a wide range of engineering solutions for the offshore and near shore industries, including wind, oil and gas, marine energy, ports and subsea cables.
They work on projects at all stages, from feasibility studies through to decommissioning.
Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting for a Junior CAD Technician to join their existing GIS design team based in Newcastle. As a CAD Technician, you will be responsible for creating 2D and 3D drawings for our offshore wind projects.
On a daily basis, you will be creating design, layout and method 2D drawings for installation.
There is the opportunity with this role to develop GIS skills and knowledge alongside your CAD development.
For this role you will be a driven and meticulous technician with good communication and social skills. You will need experience with AutoCAD and experience producing 2D and 3D drawings. You will ideally have some experience with 3D modelling (Digital Terrain Modelling).
Any previous experience with automation and GIS would be advantageous.
