Job description
CADagency is delighted to be working with a leading engineering company specialising in engineered solutions for concrete frames, ground and civil engineering. Due to on-going high demand they are looking to take on an additional Design Engineer in the Olham offices to work as part of their formwork engineering design team.
For this role, you will ideally have previous experience of formwork or structural design. On a daily basis you will be using AutoCAD and Revit to produce technical engineering drawings that will be used on projects around the UK.
You will be producing calculations to structurally prove the design as well as producing material lists for costing and delivery of the scheme. You will be working closely with other members of the engineering and sales team to ensure projects are carried out within budget and site requirements. You will need to follow department QA procedures to ensure suitable high standards are achieved and maintained throughout the process.
Finally, you will liaise with the operation department over delivery requirement and details.
Previous experience with Temporary Works design would be advantagous.
Good knowledge of the various EN/UK standards appropriate to formwork and falsework design including use of BS5975, CDM 2015, construction processes and the formwork guide would be advantagous too.
