Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with a design and manufacturing company based in Preston. Our client is a leading manufacturer and installer of aluminium windows, doors and curtain walling to the Construction Industry. Due to on-going high demand for their products, we are assisting them in recruiting for a CAD Designer with previous experience in the facade and aluminium curtain walling design sector.

For this role, you will work from technical CAD drawings provided by Architects and Clients and determine the best products to use. You will then coordinate the design development based on the in house manufacturing capabilities.

You will be require to provide solutions that are within the clients budget and design specification. Working closely with the sales and estimating teams, you will need to provide technical advice and general support to contract management.

For this role, you are required to have existing experience and knowledge of the aluminium commercial environment as well as structural design. You must have the ability to read, interpret and create structural drawing and alterations.

Previous experience with Revit and BIM is highly advantageous.

You will be working as part of a team and excellent communication and coordination skills are required.
