As a design and build company, they are able to offer clients a turn key solutions and work with some of the largest festivals, bars, brands, exhibitions and touring activations.

Due to continued high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting a Technical CAD Designer. You will be creating engaging 2D / 3D designs according to project requirements whilst working under the supervision of Senior Designers, Project managers and the Build Team. Your designs will need to be structurally sound and quality work. The goal is to create impactful designs that capture and sell our clients company vision.

You will be working as part of the larger design team to understand the concept and requirements of a project from a clients brief. You will then start by drafting conceptual and prototype structures using SketchUp, structural elements and fabricated assets, developing new ideas and streamlining processes. Once a design is formulated you will work with structural engineers to ensure every structure is fit for purpose.

The next step is to produce technical documents such as structure carcass drawings, piece/component drawings, sections, floor plans and electrical plans using AutoCAD and Vectorworks.

A key aspect to the role will be working closely with the D&B Manager with processes relating to the project’s design to ensure that everything is delivered to schedule and budget. You will also be working closely with surveyors and site managers and other key members of the project team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
