Job description

CADagency are delighted to be working with a design and install MEP company based in Brixton. Our client has been specialising in workplace fit out projects for over 25 years and work with some of the leading fit out and construction contractors in the UK.

Due to on-going high demand for their services, we are assisting them in recruiting for an CAD Technician, ideally with an Electrical design background, to join their existing design team. For this role, you should have previous experience within the design and build sector and excellent AutoCAD skills.

As part of the role you will be producing AutoCAD drawings to support Electrical Engineers in the design and delivery of projects. You will be actively participating in co-ordinating with other design team members as part of a multi-skilled team (both internally and externally). You will also need to assist project team leaders in managing drawing production / records and associated drawing management and protocols.

Once your drawings are completed, you will ensure that your design work is checked by an Electrical Engineer prior to issue and be responsible for the day to day management and execution of project work.

Finally, you will occasionally be assisting in carrying out site surveys and attending various project/technical meetings.

You will primarily be working with AutoCAD although any 3D or Revit experience would be highly beneficial.
