Job description
CADagency are delighted to be working with a specialist design, manufacture and installation company providing metalwork solutions including balustrades, canopies, balconies, glazing and steel curtain walling. Alongside the above, they also manufacture architectural and bespoke metal works.
Due to ongoing high demand they are looking to take on an experienced Design Manager to work in their busy design and drawing office. You will be working alongside a small design team on drawings from tender through to installation and you are required to have an excellent understanding of the glazing and architectural metalwork sector.
You will be leading the CAD operatives to ensure the timely accurate production of construction-based drawings, for fire rated and specialist glazing systems.
You will be required to demonstrate excellent CAD skills along with the ability to arrange structural calculations, and drawing approvals prior to going forward into production and installation.
Previous experience with fire rated glazing and curtain walling, or coming from the aluminium window and curtain walling sector is required. Any further experience of site surveying, Excel spreadsheets, LogiKal and computer literacy would be an advantage.
Due to the nature of the job, a full clean driving licence is required.
