Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with one of the UK’s leading suppliers commercial catering equipment. They provide a truly turnkey solutions to the events, hospitality and commercial sectors. We are currently assisting them in recruiting a Design Manager to work closely with the Technical Manager and oversee the current Designers. For this role you will need good working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit with experience in the commercial kitchen, interior fit out or other relevant sectors.

The role will mainly see you working on the design and space planning of commercial kitchens in a variety of environments including portable buildings, modular buildings, traditional buildings and tent structures.

You will be liaising closely with internal teams including sales, project managers, technical and engineering teams. You will need excellent 2D and 3D modelling skills, ideally with 3D rendering experience. You will be using Revit for development and quality assurance of design library content, including the use of dynamic blocks and Revit families.

The full scope of the role will see you visiting clients sites and taking accurate site measurements. You will then receive a brief from salespeople and interpret the design requirements in order to compile appropriate design schemes and drawing layouts. You will then present aesthetic sales presentation drawings using layouts and raster (JPEG/TIFF) images through to compiling detailed approval drawings to produce stainless-steel fabrication. Finally, you will liaise with Project Managers and Technicians to complete services layouts and as-built drawings.
