Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with a high-end bespoke glass solutions design, manufacture & installation company who specialise in the highest-standard partitioning, stunning architectural glass solutions and certified glazed fire rated systems. Due to on-going high demand we are assisting them in recruiting for a Design Manager with previous experience in the bespoke glazing or similar sectors.

For this role, you will be responsible for the production and management of design and technical documentation on projects from start to final account. You will use specialist computer software to produce plans and technical drawings for a range of products and components. The ability in BIM modelling would be advantageous but not essential.

You will be joining their friendly design team working from our clients modern, light & airy office space.

On a daily basis, you will complete the following tasks

  • To ensure all design programmes and plans meet contract manufacturing requirements
  • To ensure client drawing protocol is complied with where applicable
  • To complete drawing registers, deliverables and programmes throughout the project
  • To ensure all drawings and plans are thoroughly checked prior to submission
  • To attend design meetings with the client, design team and architect
  • To liaise with engineers, suppliers and produce fabrication drawings
  • To liaise with the site installation team
  • To create and issue sample and technical submissions
  • Work without supervision
  • Follow design processes and update project files
  • Demonstrate a commitment to own personal development within the role

Preferred experience

  • Due to the nature and variability of architectural glazing a construction background is key
  • Curtain walling and facades experience
  • Experience with architect’s plans would be an advantage
  • A full driving licence.
  • Detailed understanding and previous experience with AutoCAD are essential

Working hours

9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Thursday and 9:00am to 5:00pm on Friday
