Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with a specialist manufacturing company for the agricultural machinery sector. Our client develops and manufactures innovative machines and components that improve efficiency and make a real difference to the environment. These include Planters, Drills, Fertilisers and Hoppers.

Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting for a Design Engineer to join their existing team of 6 Design Engineers.

On a daily basis you will produce and deliver high-quality designs of bespoke machinery as well as updating existing drawings.

You will work closely with the sales and delivery team to full understand the scope of a clients requirement and create high quality drawings ready for manufacture that address their requirements.

You will be required to have great communication skills as you will work closely with the assembly team and provide BOM’s. You will consider the manufacturing and assembly teams with regards to timeliness of drawings.

Other tasks will include

• Design, drawing creation, BOM.
• Ensure project budgets and timelines are met .
• Supporting the assembly team in Lean CI internal company programs promoting “just in time” and lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Co ordinate design verification and validation.

For this role you will be required to have excellent design and technical skills including the ability to use SolidWorks to a high degree of technicality. You will be to have a problem solving nature as well as being a creative thinker.
