Job description
CADagency is delighted to be working with a design and manufacturing company based in Sandbach. They specialise in security gates and fencing and work closely with the M.O.D, premier league football clubs and zoo’s as well as many others. Due to an increased workload and the constantly expanding product range our client is looking to recruit a Design Engineer. For this role, you will be working from our clients offices three days a week with an option to work from home the other two. You will be joining an experienced and friendly team working on the design and manufacture of security gates and fencing products.
On a daily basis, you will be working with Autodesk Inventor to create scheme drawings and layouts for evaluation against customer specifications. You will work closely with clients to understand their specific requirements and produce detailed manufacturing drawings for each project. You will need to evaluate designs through cost effectiveness and ease of manufacture requirements and manage project timelines effectively. You will be working closely with other team members such as sales, project management and operations.
For this role, you will need extensive knowledge of AutoCAD 2D as well as Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks. Previous experience producing manufacturing drawings is also required.
If you have any previous CAD CAM plasma cutter programming experience this would be highly beneficial too. You will be mainly working with plastic and metal fabrication so industry experience would really help.
