Job description
CADagency is delighted to be working with a restaurant & retail fit out company based in Blackburn. They specialise in Commercial Kitchens, Air Conditioning & Ventilation as well as Retail Refrigeration. Due to continued growth and development, we are assisting them in recruiting for an additional CAD Designer to join their existing Design Team. Our client is looking for a driven and enthusiastic person who is looking to develop a career within a well-established company who values its colleagues and puts great emphasis on personal development.
For this role you will work closely with the sales and projects team to design and develop catering equipment and refrigeration projects using both AutoCAD and Revit. This will involve producing designs and quotations for commercial catering equipment and refrigeration projects.
On a daily basis, you will prepare designs for catering equipment and refrigeration projects based on the brief or template to a pre-agreed timescale. This will involve preparing mechanical and electrical service drawings and schedules in accordance with company’s procedures as well as a full range of quotations for catering equipment and refrigeration projects.
You will also undertake surveys, such as accurately measuring, recording survey notes on mechanical and electrical services.
You must ensure all tenders that are submitted have all relevant information included within submission and include technical drawings. This will involve liaising with the fabrication team to produce manufacturing drawings. You must also ensure all designs prepared consider Health and Safety requirements in terms of installation, maintenance, and use of proposed equipment.
You must be open and willing to undertake training to assist personal development and growth within the role.
You will ideally have existing experience using AutoCAD and Revit and any other CAD software. Existing knowledge of the catering or refrigeration sector would be ideal but training can be provided.
This is a full time, permanent role based in our clients Blackburn offices.
Working hours: Monday – Friday (37.5 hours)
