Job description
CADagency is pleased to be working with a specialist contractor within the bespoke cladding sector. For this role you will be preparing and designing standardised and bespoke products for production. The project will be handed over to you from the Sales team and Project Managers, you will then liaise with other members of the team to gather all necessary information including survey data and asses the results.
From a design aspect you will be expected to prepare innovative and effective designs for the sales team using SolidEdge as well as create manufacturing drawings and make amendments when required.
Experience with SolidEdge is ideal but not required.
You will be expected to have previous experience in the curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, façade cladding, sheet metal, or architectural metalwork sectors.
As you will be working with project managers and contractors the ability to work as part of a team is essential as well as excellent English. You maybe required to carry out site visits and surveys but these will all be in the South.
It is important that you are familiar with the design approval process and issuing production drawings, as well as standard shop techniques, so the correct manufacturing and installation processes are used. Part of the manufacturing drawings are done in 3D, and part in 2D, therefore you will be familiar with both techniques, as well as industry standard files and software.
