Job description
CADagency is delighted to be working alongside a fit out construction company based in Witham, between Chelmsford and Colchester. Our client specialises in the pharmacy design and installation sectors and due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting for an office based CAD Technician to work as part of their design and project coordination team.
For this role, on a daily basis you will be working to create AutoCAD drawings for pharmacy refit purposes. You will also use SketchUp to prepare visuals to be shown to clients. Previous experience with SketchUp is not required as training can be given. You will then work to prepare programmes including schedules, method statement, risk assessments. The role will also see you liaising with contractors for booking required works and ensuring works are carried out in a timely manner. You will work to retrieve cost-effective quotes from contractors and material pricing to help when preparing works programmes.
You will also be expected to use measurements, survey data and client requirements to create more effective uses of space available to meet the clients needs. Updating designs and communication with clients if modifications to designs are needed.
You will be expected to have excellent communication skills and will be expected to communicate with clients and contractors throughout whilst works are ongoing.
Any previous experience with site surveys would be highly beneficial too.
