Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with a bespoke control room furniture manufacturer who specialise in the design of consoles, media walls and control room accessories. Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting for a CAD Technician with previous experience in bespoke furniture design.

For this role you will be responsible for the technical design of bespoke furniture, working from client’s specification. You will work closely with the production/manufacturing team to produce bespoke products and resolve any manufacturing problems that may occur. You will be using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor on a daily basis to produce manufacturing drawings as well as Bill of Material.

You will be joining their friendly design team working from our clients modern, light & airy office space in Romsey.

On a daily basis, you will complete the following tasks

  • Produce proposal drawing based on sales requirements
  • Produce approval drawings from Project Managers design brief/site survey, including sufficient detail to allow the Project Managers to gain Approval for Manufacture.
  • Produce Manufacturing drawings adhering to the approved details.
  • Obtain quotations for subcontractors for project related bought out items
  • Raise purchase order for project related bought out items
  • Ensure that all purchase orders are raised promptly to ensure the goods are available when required for assembly/delivery
  • Work within drawing office standards
  • Produce cladding CNC programmes accurately using PANSYS
  • Produce worktop/script programmes using ARTCAM
  • Work additional hours when workload dictates
