Job description

Our client is an award winning architectural interior design and development practice that designs and builds some the world’s finest homes. Due to an increase in the number of projects being taken on, they are looking to hire a 2D Architectural CAD Technician for an immediate start.

Working in a friendly team of Architects and Interior Designers, the individual will produce detailed technical drawings for high end residential projects.

Candidates must be an experienced professional and be able to demonstrate key skills / knowledge in following criteria;

• Working with the in-house design team’s project leaders
• CAD experience using AutoCAD software. AutoCAD qualification is essential
• Able to undertake simple design work
• Working to produce feasibility layouts
• Produce and revise layouts, design and finishes drawings
• Prepare technical drawings for tender stage and construction
• Able to demonstrate full awareness and knowledge of UK building regulations
• Produce drawings for manufacture
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods
• High end residential experience is preferable
• Ability to work within a small multi-disciplinary team
• Able to work to tight timescales and budgets with minimum supervision
• Able to work methodically, accurately but at the same time quickly
• Good communication skills, able to be clear and concise with information and support the team
• Office based in St Albans, Hertfordshire
