Job description
CADagency is delighted to be working with an specialist Electrical Contractor based in the West Midlands area. The company currently employs around 30 members of staff including on-site engineers, admin and project managers.
The company specialises in retail fit-outs working with some of the High Streets largest brands as well as large scale distribution centres and production units.
They are currently using a sub-contracted CAD Technician for all CAD work but due to on-going high demand they are looking to bring the CAD work in house. For this role, you will be the first in house CAD Technician they have employed so you will be required to have existing knowledge in Electrical Layout design.
The company receives drawings from Architects and then creates a CAD overlay with the technical Electrical diagrams through to as built drawings.
You will be required to liaise with architects and on-site engineers to ensure work is carried out as designed and resolve any issues that arise.
The company is currently using AutoCAD although they are noticing a demand from clients to use BIM. This is an avenue they are looking to peruse so an existing knowledge of BIM and ideally Revit software experience or a strong desire to learn knew software is advantageous.
You will be working within a small team directly interacting with company directors. There is a lot of flexibility with the role. They are looking for someone that would like to get make the role theirs and offer solutions and help with processes.
