Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with one of the largest civil engineering and construction specialists in the UK. They design, supply and install everything from garden outbuilding, extensions, new builds and even multi-house projects, offering Project Management, demolition, civil engineering including groundworks, foundations, drainage and utilities.

Due to on-going high demand, they are looking to take on an experienced CAD Technician to join their office-based design team based in Cobham, Surrey. For this role, your main responsibilities will be pricing/developing drawings from preliminary to construction, 3D modelling and presenting 3D modelling as part of quote presentations. You will be working with AutoCAD to create technical drawings and design plans.

You will also be carrying out the following daily tasks:

  • Familiar with reinforcement drawings, concrete works, drainage, setting out
  • Liaison with house manufacturer, QS, client
  • Ensuring all up to date drawings are downloaded and saved from relevant parties involved
  • Incorporating and circulating changes
  • Establish quantities for purchasing
  • Assist Site Team with any queries they have related to the drawings
  • Log weekly workload / updates for team meeting input
  • Carry out site visits when required
  • Setting out experience

For this role, you will be expected to have 5+ years’ experience within a similar role with Archicad or AutoCAD or Civils and have proficiency with other software such as MS Word, Excel and Outlook and possess a clean UK drivers licence.

Working Hours

40 hours per work, Mon-Fri 8am – 5pm
