Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with one of the biggest handrail design specialists in the UK. They design, manufacture, supply and install architectural handrails and balustrade systems. They provide an end-to-end service for Architects, Contractors and Developers.

Due to on-going high demand, they are looking to take on an experienced CAD Technician to join their office-based design team based in Chatham, Rochester. For this role, your main responsibilities will see you working from surveyors initial drawings to creating accurate 2D  technical drawings for manufacture. You will then follow the project through the manufacturing process to ensure it is carried out to the clients specifications and costing.

For this role, you will need previous experience in the construction sector using AutoCAD 2D. You will ideally have experience in the architectural metalwork sector and understand the material requirements with glazing and stainless steel.

You will also be carrying out the following daily tasks:

• Liaison with house manufacturer, QS and client
• Ensuring all up to date drawings are downloaded and saved from relevant parties involved
• Incorporating and circulating changes
• Establish quantities for purchasing
• Assist site team with any queries they have related to the drawings
• Carry out site visits when required

For this role, you will ideally have a full UK driving licence.
