Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with an industry leading supplier and manufacturer of plastic, insulation and rubber products to industry and supply a wide range of market sectors throughout the UK, Europe and worldwide. Our client maintains ISO 9001 Quality and ISO 14001 Environmental certifications. With on-site manufacturing facilities you will be working closely with every department including sales, design and manufacturing.

Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting a CAD Designer / CAM Programmer and join their existing production team.

On a daily basis you will offer CAD-CAM support for the on-site routers & millers, adding toolpaths and selecting tooling for efficient production methods. On CAM you will be creating simple profile, pocket cutting & drilling. You will be working with 5 axis & 3d machining and creating engineered drawings and models from sample parts.

You will need to be able to read and interpret engineering drawings from clients and reverse engineer 3D SolidWorks models from them.

You will ideally have previous experience using Alphacam or Solidcam as well as SolidWorks experience.

As you will be working closely with other members of the production and design teams, excellent written and verbal communication is required along with good problem-solving skills.
