Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with a sub-contract design drawing office located in Hereford. Our client specialises in producing high quality drawings for the Industrial Cladding and Roofing industry.

Due to on-going high demand we are assisting them in recruiting an experienced Building Envelope CAD Designer with experience working on the finer details of building envelope design & material scheduling for architectural cladding, roofing & rainscreen applications.

This role can be either fully remote of office based dependant on your experience and commute to the office. There will be a requirement to attend site and internal meetings on occasion so access to a vehicle is required but the daily tasks can be undertaken from home.

This role will see you become part of our clients dynamic design office, working alongside established members of the team. You will be taking on projects as well as training and mentoring current and new staff, checking completed projects and oversight of scheduling to ensure a high standard of work being issued to the clients.

Your responsibilities would include the production of layouts, detail drawings and material scheduling in a variety of roofing, cladding and rainscreen systems (i.e. Kingspan, Trespa, ACM and Aluminium)

On a daily basis you will be producing layouts, creating detail drawings, material scheduling as well as taking responsibility for complete projects from design stage through to construction

You will be required to have excellent communication skills as you will be working in close partnership with external architects and contractors.

Two years design experience within the construction sector using AutoCAD is essential. Previous Revit experience would also be highly advantageous.

You will ideally have a good understanding of roofing and cladding industry, systems and detailing. Knowledge of facades and structures would be very beneficial.
