Job description
CADagency is delighted to be working with a renowned Interior Design, Kitchens & Cabinetry and Bespoke Furniture company based in Central London. Due to on-going high demand, they currently have a requirement for a Bespoke Furniture Designer.
Role
You will be required to interact with sales and design staff from other disciplines and clients when required. You will be highly creative and have a good eye for design, at the same time as demonstrating excellent detail drawing skills; ensuring work is completed to the highest standard and meets deadlines and clients expectations.
Responsibilities
- To work from a brief either provided by the client, sales or senior staff
- Develop innovative designs for upholstery, furniture, fitted furniture, polished goods, paneling, fitted furniture, product design & hardware design in response to a brief
- Produce – Concept designs, Technical drawings & specification packages in conjunction with the technical designers, High quality renders/ sketches, Basic space planning as and when required
- Fiscal awareness of project budgets and project timelines
- Attend internal and clients meetings and presentations as and when required
- Assisting with the review and sign off of manufacturer/suppliers drawings & specifications & visit manufacturer workshops when required
- Coordinate with Heads of Departments
- Disseminate brand values and mentor junior members of staff
- Maintain solid knowledge of luxury brands/trends and have an understanding of the evolving trends, keeping up to date with new techniques in manufacturer and design
- Complete timesheets for project work
- Have input into store design and NPD when required
- Assist with Interior design projects and design standards
