Job description
Our client is a prestigious surveying firm who are involved in many of the largest and most high profile new developments in the centre of London.
They are looking to hire a 3D CAD modeller with extensive experience in solid modelling using AutoCAD 3D specifically. Use of other packages will be very limited so your skills in AutoCAD 3D must be proficient to enable you to work fast and independently on major projects.
It is important that you are absolutely fluent in the use of AutoCAD 3D for solid modelling, as you will be expected to work fast and independently on major projects. It is also crucial that your modelling skills are centred mainly around using AutoCAD and not another package.
You will be modelling commercial and residential buildings both existing and planned to a highly detailed level. You will be working off surveyors plans, architectural drawings and photographs.
The models are used for the purpose of planning applications to assess the loss of light to neighbouring buildings caused by a new build or extension.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Extensive experience using AutoCAD for 3D solid modelling
- A great work ethic and the ability to work quickly and thoroughly
- A portfolio of detailed previous 3D AutoCAD work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
