Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working alongside one of the UK’s most state-of-the-art modular home design and build companies. Our client are building a reputation for imaginative design and build quality, with a growing portfolio of prestigious clients within the residential sector. Due to on-going high demand we are assisting them in recruiting for a Architectural Technician to join their existing and growing design team. Our client is pushing the boundaries of Construction Technology incorporating AI, RFID, 5G and Digital technologies as they strive to deliver initiative solutions to tomorrows design problems.

For this role you will be responsible for managing the project from conception through to delivery and will need excellent communication skills to liaise regularly with clients and external consultants. You will build on your knowledge to develop excellent technical skills and a passion to really make a difference.

As an Architectural Technician, you will ensure timely delivery of complete, high quality and cost effective designs for multiple new build housing developments. You will be responsible for the detailed design within RIBA stages four and five preparing the technical design and detailing the manufacturing and assembly drawings for the factory and on-site processes.

This role will primarily office based with some flexible working options. You will also have the opportunity to visit proposed and existing sites as and when required.

On a daily basis you will be creating detailed fabrication drawings for use in the factory as well as liaising with the members of the architectural team to ensure the design intent is followed. Working within RIBA stages zero to five, you will ideally have experience designing with AutoCAD and Revit and any BIM / BIM 360 experience would be highly advantageous. You will also be coordinating information with the procurement team and external suppliers. You will be solving issues arising from the production line in a timely manner to minimise stoppages.
