Job description
CADagency is delighted to be working with an independent Chartered Building Surveying and Project Management practice. The company specialise in the commercial office, industrial, leisure, hospitality, retail and education sectors
Due to on-going high demand, we are helping them to recruit for an experienced Architectural Technician to be based out of their Oxford offices. For this role you will be creating architectural CAD drawings including plans, elevations, building sections and details. You will be co-ordinating and managing projects and updating AutoCAD drawings and X-Refs. On a daily basis you will be liaising and taking instruction from the internal Project Managers and Building Surveyors as well as liaising with external clients and consultants. There will also be the requirement to attend site meetings and creating supporting hand sketches.
For this role you will be required to have the following skills
- Proficient in the current release of 2D AutoCAD
- Able to develop simple sketches in to full working drawings for Feasibility Studies, tenders and construction
- Working knowledge of architectural building design and construction
- Experience using Microsoft Office and Adobe
- Experience with 3D drawings
- Previous experience with Revit and SketchUp would be beneficial
- Personable and professional manner
- Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines and take initiative
