Job description
CADagency is delighted to be working with a market leading, design and build company specialising in the commercial and residential fit out sector. With their head office in Leeds, they offer a full range of services including planning, design and construction process. With all the technical services sitting under one roof, you will work closely with all team members on a project.
Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting our client in recruiting for an office based Architectural Technician to join their existing design team. For this role, you will be reporting to and work along side the Head of Architecture. You will work to develop winning design solutions for individual client needs.
Your role will see you starting at a clients brief and understanding the specific requirements and constraints. You will then make minor alterations to plans and drawings and support the sales operation creating plans and drawings as required. You will need to be able to work on your own initiative and contribute to the overall concepts.
On a daily basis, you will be producing drawings, elevations and plans as required on AutoCAD and Revit. You will be creaiting 3D visuals to assist in the sales process to so experience with Photoshop and SketchUp would be highly desirable.
As part of the sales process you will provide ‘take-offs’ of plans to assist estimating teams. Once this is complete you will ensure all designs and plans are saved to the correct quote folder, ensuring each version number is updated and old versions moved to archive folder to ensure sales are working with most up to date versions.
