Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with a multi-disciplinary construction consultancy with offices in Lincolnshire, Manchester and London. Our client specialise in the retail, leisure and commercial sectors and offer a full array of technical architectural services for numerous projects throughout the UK.

Due to retirement, we are assisting in recruiting for an experience Architectural Technician who will be supporting the Project Architectural Technologist. You will be working with the existing design team in Lincolnshire as well as the team in Manchester. You will be within a busy team and work on a variety of projects, typically lasting up to 12 months, with values generally up to £3million.

On a daily basis, you will primarily be involved in assisting the Project Lead in the production of technical detailing & construction packages for a range of retail, leisure and commercial projects. You will be using AutoCAD and will be directly involved in the design of internal and external works, permissions, working drawings and specifications.

You will need to integrate designs from different disciplines, whilst ensuring compliance with design, legal, statutory and professional requirements. There will be a requirement to undertake site visits and inspections as required, producing surveys and feasibility studies, and deal with client queries.

You will be expected to have an understanding and awareness of both conventional and innovative approaches to construction, coupled with an ability to translate design concepts into clear and appropriate detail design solutions.

Excellent AutoCAD skills are required but a knowledge of Revit and 3D packages such as SketchUp would also be beneficial.

Detailed knowledge of current UK building regulations is essential.
