Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with an established Building Surveying and Design Consultancy based in Oxford. Our client specialise in the educational, commercial, hospitality and retail sectors.

Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting for an experienced Architect to work alongside their existing architect.

You will be working on a variety of projects and clients including the University of Oxford and local councils. You will be working on classrooms, student accommodations, lab fit outs, hospitals and many other projects.

For this role you will be providing support and liaising with the existing architectural and surveying teams. You will be acting as the lead designer to the architectural team and must be competent in managing multiple projects as any one time.

As part of your role you will need to be confident in meeting with clients to discuss concepts and ideas and help develop leads for generating new business. You will be assisting the directors in ensuring profitability of the architectural team within the wider context of the business.

As a minimum requirement for this role, you will need to be RIBA qualified (or equivalent) with 5+ years’ experience in the industry using Revit and AutoCAD, have a proven track record of acting as architect and lead designer. You will need to be proficient in current release of 2D and 3D drawings including Revit, Sketchup and the use of BIM and therefore a deep understanding and technical knowledge of architectural building design and construction is a must.

Previous experience in working within the commercial sector and use of NBS or equivalent would be very beneficial.
