As the country begins to heave itself out of recession, one of the first industries to grow is the construction industry. Thanks to some big noise cases in 2005, 2006 and 2007, this means an upsurge in the need for 3D AutoCAD technicians and surveyors familiar with Rights of Light laws. See our article on the Governments Rights To Light Proposal.
Right of Light, broadly speaking, is the attention that must be paid to surrounding buildings when constructing nearby to avoid robbing them of their natural light. The Rights of Light Act 1959 explains the issue in far more detail, but this is the general idea behind it.
With recent developments in applications for AutoCAD and Autodesk, such as MBS Waldram and SOL Tools, that now allow 3D AutoCAD technicians to model buildings and their surroundings with Rights of Light in mind. This enables engineers and surveyors to assess Right of Light factors at the very beginning of the design stage.
CADagency is currently looking to supply the demand for 3D AutoCAD technicians practiced in designing for Right of Light. Positions are out there for experienced candidates, so send us your CV today.
