CADagency is delighted to be working with a design, manufacture and installation company specialising in Light Gauge Steel. Their products integrate structure, insulation and cladding support in a single factory process. They have extensive experience after working on over 5,300 structures which has enabled them to evolve to incorporate varied superstructure solutions for walls, floors, stairs and roofs.
There is currently a requirement for an additional Technical Designer to join their existing Design Team.
For this role you will be required to translate architects’ drawings to work with the companies bespoke system for pre-design and framing purposes. You will also be required to produce detailed drawings to aid in the manufacture and erection of their light gauge steel superstructures.
Pivotal to the role will be knowing how to optimise designs to minimise commercial implications, whilst ensuring compliance to design principles. You will also be required to handle technical questions, produce materials schedules and communicate effectively with all touch points in the supply chain.
Depending on your experience, you may be responsible for checking and signing off designs and have the opportunity to offer support and guidance to junior members of the design team.
Finally, you’ll have a construction-related qualification, experience of using AutoCAD, FusionSoft, Revit and LGS design and have worked with architects and structural engineers, working to tight timescales, as part of a team and on your own.
