Job description

CADagency has been instructed by an Engineering Consultants and Chartered Building Surveyors operating from offices around the UK. Their core services include Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Pre-planning and Building Surveying. Due to on going high demand they are currently looking to recruit a CAD / Revit Technician to join their Structural Engineering team in their London office. For this role you will be required to have relevant Structural / RC detailing experience and have used both Revit and AutoCAD in a professional capacity.

Main duties & responsibilities:

  • To work with Engineers and Technicians to produce precision structural design drawings
  • Produce Revit / CAD general arrangement, substructure, superstructure, concrete outlines and steelwork drawings
  • Liaison with other disciplines to correctly manage the interface in Revit / CAD between structures and other party’s requirements
  • To produce Revit / CAD drawings to programmed timescales
  • To ensure accurate referencing of drawings including updating revision status and ensure all drawing issues are accompanied by a drawing issue register
  • Liaise with other designers and consultants as required

 Knowledge / Experience / Qualifications:

  • A minimum HNC Level Civil / Structural Engineering qualification, or extensive experience.
  • Proficient in the use of Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
  • Good experience in reinforcement detailing and scheduling
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines
  • Ability to use initiative and plan own workload
  • Willing, enthusiastic and flexible in their approach to work
  • An intuitive approach to design and problem solving
  • Good communication skills
  • Good understanding of the construction process
