Job Description

CADagency has been instructed by an Engineering Consultants and Chartered Building Surveyors operating from offices around the UK. Their core services include Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Pre-planning and Building Surveying. Due to on going high demand they are currently looking to recruit a Senior Structural Technician in their Cambridge office. For this role you will be required to have relevant Structural / RC detailing experience and have used both Revit and AutoCAD in a professional capacity.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Day to day management of the drawing team
  • Assistance with the management and quality of the drawing / BIM team
  • Overall responsibility for the delivery of project drawings on time / within internal allocated budgets
  • Assistance with fee proposals / allocating internal budgets
  • Meet project requirements in collaboration with other disciplines
  • Liaise closely with engineers to ensure accurate representation
  • Aid with the development of less experienced colleagues
  • Update and revise previous drawings
  • Reinforced Concrete Detailing
  • BIM / Revit
  • 2D CAD GA & Detailing

Person Specification

  • You will ideally be qualified to HNC / HND or equivalent standard in a relevant structural / engineering field
  • Extensive experience of CAD / detailing
  • Knowledge of BIM / Revit
  • Experience of RC detailing
  • Experience of delivering infrastructure projects to challenging deadlines
  • Knowledge of industry standards and ability to translate requirements to CAD
  • Preferably experience of managing a drawing team
