Job description
CADagency is delighted to be working with a specialist roofing and cladding design and installation company based in Warrington. Due to our clients steady growth there is an exciting opportunity for an additional full time, permanent CAD Designer to join the existing team.
For this role as a CAD Designer, you will help provide bespoke solutions to specific customer requests promptly and accurately. You will be working with AutoCAD to create bespoke technical drawings and plans for rain screen cladding, flat and pitched roofing based on designs supplied by architects and steelwork fabricators. Your role will see you liaising with architects and clients to understand their design requirements and provide technical advice to construction teams
This will require you to ensure your drawings are compliant with appropriate regulations and building standards and to apply knowledge of materials and design principles to check feasibility of fabrication and construction of the product.
As part of your role, you will conduct site visits and surveys when required.
Finally, you will present working drawings for use in all stages of the project, manufacture / construction and installation.
For this role, you are required to have around a minimum of three years AutoCAD experience and be familiar with dynamic blocks. You will need an understanding of construction methods and fabrication processes and some general construction knowledge in terms of drafting or practical experience.
Due to the requirement to conduct site surveys, you will need a Full driving licence.
