Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with a leading and well-established Building Surveying Consultancy with 14 offices throughout the UK and Ireland. Due to continued growth, we assisting them in recruiting for a Surveyor. For this role you will be providing Rights of Light and Daylight consultancy in Scotland. This role will be based out their Edinburgh office and you will be working as the Project Lead on a diverse range of clients and projects.

For this role, you will ideally have previous client facing consultancy experience in the Building Surveying sector.  You will also ideally have previous experience in the Rights of Light or Neighbourly Matters sector although general MBS experience would be considered.

You are required to have an out-going personality and have the ability to win new work and grow a client base. You will need excellent people skills as you will be developing and managing a small but growing team in the Edinburgh offices.

RICS or CIAT membership would be highly beneficial but if you are currently working towards your qualification, our client is happy to support this.

You will need to be familiar with the design process and RIBA plan of work. Any previous AutoCAD or Revit skills would be highly beneficial too as you will need to be able to interpret drawings and results of surveys. You will also ideally be familiar with BRE Guide and BS17037 although this can be taught with time.

Finally, you will need to be familiar with the planning process and have experience presenting at planning committees and appeals.
