Our client is a market leading in highly energy efficient modular data centre systems. Their company ethos is to provide a scalable method of quickly developing data centres with an extremely high energy efficiency. Mainly undertaking projects in the Data Centre, Healthcare and Pharmaceutical markets, their products are built entirely in the factory and require minimal work on site, which means their data centres can be up and running in a fraction of the time it takes for a traditional build.
The company employs 50 members of staff across 3 sites in the UK and 6 in the design department
They now have vacancies within their Design department for either an Architectural Technician and / or Fabrication Detailer to join their design team.
With offices in Leamington and Cheltenham supporting the manufacturing facility in the Forest of Dean.
The company is a major UK success story and has enjoyed significant growth over the last 5 years, the Design Team has been at the forefront of the innovation and product delivery. Reporting to the Design Manager you will coordinate the product design and provide architectural design and / or fabrication design support.
These are permanent positions; ideally you will be experienced in working within a construction related design environment and experience with AutoCAD and BIM software (e.g. Revit) would be advantageous. In addition, you will have the capability and enthusiasm to manage your own design projects and become an integral part of the delivery team. Appropriate support, training and supervision will be provided to help you transition into our business.
Architectural – Essentially you will get involved in all aspects of Architectural design work, including:
- Concept layouts
- General Arrangements
- Elevations / Sections
- Room plans and elevations
- Architectural detailing
Technical – As the company manufacture and assemble modular units, you will also be responsible for generating and coordinating production information, including:
Information for fabrication of
- Assembly drawings
A good standard of both written and verbal communication is required.
Modular building is growing niche industry, these positions would equally suit a candidate with either 4+ years experience of using AutoCAD and BIM Software who has the ability to learn or a more experienced candidate that can demonstrate relevant experience in a particular design related discipline. Salary is negotiable and would be commensurate with experience but would be in the range of £25 – £40k plus benefits.
