Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working the UKs leading manufacturer and supplier of commercial furniture and structures who specialise in the hospitality and leisure industry. We are assisting them in recruiting a Design Estimator to work within their design team at their offices based in Killamarsh.

For this role you will be creating 3D visuals and 2D layout drawings of bespoke/made to measure products such as outdoor furniture, shades/shelters and even play equipment and cater to design requests from customers specifications.

You will also be creating the technical drawings for the quotation of designs/products and provide quotations and cost estimates of products and schemes including sourcing of components when required. As part of your role, you will design, develop, and research new products to help expand the range of products available. Occasional travel to site for survey purposes will be required therefore a driving licence is required for this role.

A good knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes is required as part of this role as well as the ability to offer advice on design problems as and when they occur. You will need to be experienced in 2D drafting and 3D visualisation using AutoCAD, 3Ds MAX. You will ideally have a degree in product design or have relatable experience in such a field.
