CADagency is delighted to be working with a design an build company who specialise in the hospitality and commercial kitchens sector. Working from Concept through to Completion they are a design lead organisation with in house Sales, Design, Project Management and Installation teams. There is currently a requirement for an additional CAD Technician with an interest in design and technical drawing. The role will require you to drive all facets of the development process with both the clients and internal teams.

My client is willing to consider candidates with an Architectural Technology background as well as experienced Commercial Kitchen Designers.

Job Description

  • Initial on site measured surveys
  • Feasibility studies with specific reference to commercial kitchens and the associated operations
  • Client-facing to establish the brief and continuous project development
  • Working closely with project stake holders to develop an approved layout
  • Working closely with specialist third party consultants and suppliers (including but not limited to; M&E designers, extraction experts, S.S fabricators etc.)
  • Working closely with the in-house external sales team to offer assistance and expert guidance with regards to commercial catering environments
  • Analysing and adapting design (potentially from rough sketch plans or detailed pre-defined brands) in order to produce catering tender package
  • Creation of full commercial catering installation package including accurate plans, sections, elevations, service plans, service schedules and installation scoping documents
  • Working with clients and operational staff to negotiate sign off approval
  • Working with the in-house delivery team to ensure project is delivered on budget and to programme

Requirements

  • Knowledge of commercial catering equipment
  • Understanding of commercial catering operations and the associated considerations
  • On site measured surveying skills
  • Knowledge of building control and regulation implementation with specific reference to commercial catering environments
  • Knowledge of relevant EHO and Food Standards practices with regards to commercial catering design
  • Good understanding of all commercial catering M&E considerations and the ability to process relevant calculations regarding services
  • Ability to use BIM
