Job Description

CADagency is delighted to be working one of the largest and most respected technically qualified remediation contractors in the UK working on a diverse range of remediation, earthworks and civil engineering projects. There is currently a requirement for an additional CAD Engineer to join their team at their Bristol office.

You will be responsible for providing accurate, concise and timely delivery of drawings, plans, supporting documentation and administration of drawing files and number registers. This is to support operational projects and also tenders as required.

You will need a qualification and/ or demonstrable experience of using AutoCAD 2D and LSS software or similar in 3D, and experience in the manipulation of 3D Surveys.

The job role will include the assessment of earthwork volumes and contamination plumes (soil & water) through interrogation of site investigation data such as chemical contamination certificates and borehole and trial pit logs. Experience in this field would be desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

Also required is knowledge and experience of using MS Office, particularly Excel for tabulation of volumes and Outlook.

Working as part of a team for the delivery of projects, your key responsibilities can be summarised as follows:

  • Production of drawings to support contracts & tenders in AutoCAD
  • Manipulation of data for use in AutoCAD/LSS
  • Use of mapping software
  • Drawing administration including the upkeep of drawing registers
  • Distribution of data and release of drawings
  • Assisting with earthworks calculations for tenders and projects in LSS
