Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working alongside a food processing company based in Bolton. They have been innovating and producing high quality chilled products for brands and supermarkets around the UK for over 30 years. Due to their continued success they are in the process of expanding and opening a new state of the art factory.

We are assisting them in recruiting for an Architectural CAD Technician to working closely with internal and external engineering project teams. For this role you will be receiving engineering, architectural, structural and M&E drawings to collate and coordinate and overlay the drawings to ensure build and installation works.

You will also work closely with Product Managers and plant equipment manufacturers to ensure correct information is gathered and stored.

Currently, the Engineering Consultancies and Architects have been using 2D AutoCAD but going forward there could be an opportunity to develop the drawings using Revit dependant on your personal experience with the software. The plant fabricators are using SolidWorks for their drawings although no design input will be required there.

You will be working closely with the Operations Director and Project Engineering Manager and worked will be signed off by them. You will ideally be working on site Monday to Friday although during the busy installation period some out of hours working may be required.

This is a permanent full time role and once installation is complete for this project your role will continue to evolve with the CAD requirements, maintenance and further projects including project management.
