CADagency is delighted to be working with a manufacturing company in Sheffield. Our client specialises in designing and manufacturing highly regulated fire curtains, certified to meet the global standards, including BS, EN & UL. Their products help ensure safe emergency evacuation of people from buildings across all types of construction.
Due to on-going high demand for their products, they are looking to grow their existing CAD department from 5 Designers and add another member to the team.
For this role, you will be working closely with the Technical Manager and using SolidWorks to create custom sheet metal housing for fire protection related products. You will be working from architects CAD drawings to get exact dimensions and amend existing products to reflect the project specifics.
Our client has also recently invested in DriveWorks to help automate some design work so any previous experience would be advantageous.
There will also be a small element of New Product Introduction to the role which will see you helping to design upcoming products giving you an opportunity to develop your skills and carrier.
As the products you will be designing will contain electrics you will also get somewhat involved with creating electrical schematics using a software called EasyPC which is similar to AutoCAD and will be taught.
Finally, you will liaise with the on-site fabricators as projects progress to manufacturing stages to ensure drawings are understood and carried out as per spec.

37.5 hours a week | Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:00 | Friday 09:00 – 14:00
