CADagency is delighted to be working with a design and manufacturing company based in Skelmersdale that specialises in high-quality, bespoke portable cabins & modular buildings for all site accommodation & storage needs. Due to on-going high demand for their products and services, we are assisting them in recruiting for a Revit Technician with previous experience in the construction sector.
For this role, on a daily basis, you will be using Revit to create layout designs for site welfare accommodation and modular buildings using offsite construction methods. This will involve compiling drawing information using 2D layout, 2D detail, 3D, schedules and reference information to contribute to the creation and maintenance of a content design library.
You will produce architectural information, such as site plans, elevations, point load and services (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) drawings, etc. You will be preparing these architectural drawings using approved dimensions and layouts for use in subsequent production drawings completed by senior design engineers. You will work closely with external Architects, Contractors and Structural Engineers and you will need to prepare information packs for such as Structural & M&E drawings.
Finally, you will produce & maintain schedules from the drawing using approved attributes and parameters derived from the drawing content. You will need to ensure the integrity of design & production data is maintained.
When there is time available, you will work to maintain legacy AutoCAD drawing system, migrating data as required to a Revit library. This will include compiling content library parameters in accordance with SAP part numbers approved by the purchasing department.
For this role, you will need to have the ability to create formatted building layouts within AutoCAD & Revit. You will need to be able to multitask on projects and communicate effectively with other team members.
