CADagency is delighted to be working with a shopfitting company specialising in retail shelving and point of sale stands. Due to on-going high demand for their services we are assisting them in recruiting for an Assistant Product Designer with existing SolidWorks experience.
You will be reporting to the Product Manager and assist on bespoke projects from client briefs through to producing workable manufacturing drawings. You will be working alongside two other designers and have the ability to learn the specifics of the role through training and development.
Essential for the role, you will need previous experience using SolidWorks and a full drivers licence as you will be required to attend visit sites and eventually meet with clients.
You will be using SolidWorks to develop functional products, and prepare them for manufacturing. You will work from initial client briefs and send through viable options for approval.
You will manage the existing database of products and ensure all models are safely stored and accessible. You will then product Bills of Materials and place them into the companies software.
You will be working closely with the manufacturing team so excellent communication skills are required to ensure high quality control. Once a design has been confirmed you will prepare installation manuals for the site team along with visual explanations of how products are assembled together.
