CADagency is delighted to be working with a principal contractor and sub-contractor specialising in commercial and traditional bespoke joinery. Our client has been established over 15 years and have their offices and manufacturing facility in Skelmersdale. Our client has completed contracts for many multinational companies, as well as smaller independents and specialist commissions. As a principal contractor and sub-contractor our clients expertise and quality encompasses specialist in-house joinery through detailed shopfitting and finishing, as well as extensive construction and refurbishments.
Due to on-going company growth, we are assisting them in recruiting for a Joinery CAD Technician ideally with previous experience within a bespoke joinery sector. This will be the first design role within the business so you will need a can-do, problem solving attitude and the ability to set up systems and processes. Our client is happy to use a software that you are comfortable with, either AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Inventor and you will be tasked with implementing the software within the current manufacturing processes.
Any previous experience working within the retail and leisure would be highly advantageous too. You will be working on a wide range of projects including shopfitting, commercial and high-end bespoke projects. You will be responsible with working from initial briefs and concept drawings right the way through to manufacturing and joinery drawing.
There will also be a requirement to visit clients sites to carry out basic surveys as required and liaise regularly with clients and shopfloor staff to give project updates and timelines.
