The company focuses on bespoke joinery projects, providing high-quality design and manufacturing solutions for bars, reception areas, and commercial interiors. With a reputation for precision and craftsmanship, they collaborate closely with clients, architects, and designers to bring custom interior visions to life. Due to long-term staff absence, they are looking to recruit a permanent CAD Designer to ensure the continued smooth operation of their design team.
As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for producing detailed technical drawings and plans for custom joinery projects. Working with AutoCAD, you will develop precise 2D drawings for bespoke fit-out elements, including bars, reception desks, and other interior components. You will collaborate with architects, designers, and the production team to ensure design feasibility and manufacturing accuracy. The role involves interpreting design briefs, preparing technical drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and refining designs based on feedback.
You should have experience in setting out / CAD design within the joinery or interior fit-out sector. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, with a strong understanding of joinery techniques, materials, and manufacturing processes. The role requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to translate design concepts into practical drawings, and strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and internal teams.
The company offers a salary of up to £35,000, depending on experience, along with the opportunity to work on a variety of high-end commercial projects.
